HCG Diet Soup Recipes

Soups are always a very light meal for the hcg diet and are great for cooking in large portions so that you can get a few meals out of them. Canned broth is never high in calories and can work with pretty much any vegetables you can use for this diet. When making soup make sure that you don’t use any pasta, beans or potatoes as they are not allowed for phases 2 or 3 of the hcg diet. However if you find a tasty recipe that calls for noodles of potato you can always leave that ingredient out and it will taste just as good.

Tips for making soup for the HCG Diet

Fresh vegetables are always better to use when making soups.

100 grams minced chicken breast

about 1 cup chopped tomatoes (rough chop, guessing measure could be slightly more)

1 cup p2 friendly chicken broth (I measured this ha)

1 T milk (I measured this!)

handful of basil (um. i think it's sweet. i live in Thailand and there are 3 basils. This is "horapah")

star anise (two small)

salt, pepper, red chili powder

Curried Shrimp & Tomato Soup- Hcg Friendly!

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 100 g shrimp (I use precooked just for ease)
  • 2 roma tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic clove
  • 1 ⁄2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 ⁄2 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 ⁄2 cup fat-free chicken broth


  1. Heat spices & minced garlic in a saute pan just a little.
  2. Splash a little chicken stock into the pan & mix with the spices.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes and cook down a bit. Can splash a little more chicken stock in at this point. (I use approximately 1/2 cup chicken stock total).
  4. Allow to simmer so the tomatoes break apart and cook down.
  5. Add the shrimp and simmer until shrimp is hot.
  6. Eat and enjoy!
