How to Prepare GM Diet Wonder Soup aka Cabbage Soup?

Do you want to follow the GM diet for weight loss?

Then you should first understand the relation between the Wonder soup and General Motors diet. Without eating this cabbage soup during the GM diet program, you won’t be able to see the results like you wanted.

The vegetable soup is one among the main ingredients for quick weight loss in the 7 day diet plan.

The wonder soup is a big part of the GM diet weight loss strategy. You can have the wonder soup as many times as you like it, either while you’re on the 1 week diet or include it in your regular lifestyle. I’ve personally replaced my last meal (dinner) with the soup as it is low in calories and also nutritious.

However, not many people know the exact method of preparing the GM diet wonder soup and for those followers, here is the step by step recipe.

How to Prepare GM Diet Wonder Soup?

This vegetable soup recipe is pretty easy to make and the ingredients you’ll need are below.

  • Onions – 1/4 piece
  • Cabbage – 1/4 piece
  • Tomatoes – 1 large or 2 small
  • Green peppers – 1/2
  • Celery (optional) – 1 stalk
  • Water – as required
  • Carrots – 1 small
  • Lemon – 1/2 slice (for additional taste)
  • Red Chilies – 1 small
  • Olive oil – 1 tsp
  • Salt – 1/2 tsp

GM Diet Cabbage Soup Preparation:

  1. First, chop all the ingredients such as onions, cabbage, carrot, tomatoes, green pepper, celery into small pieces.
  2. Next, place the pressure cooker pan (without lid) on the stove and add 1 tsp of Olive oil.
  3. First, add the onions and fry them until golden brown, followed by the rest of the ingredients.
  4. Lastly, add 1/2 tsp of salt and enough water to fill up the veggies in the pan.
  5. Now, place the lid of the pressure cooker and allow it to cook until 3-4 whistles.
  6. Switch off the stove and leave the cooker untouched for another 5-7 minutes.
  7. Now, open the lid and pour the wonder soup into a bowl.

Squeeze a slice of lemon juice in the cabbage soup for additional flavor and serve hot. You can also add some salt, pepper for seasoning (if you like).

P.S: You can have this soup on all days of the GM diet. Anytime you feel hunger, simply make this wonder soup and fill your stomach. You can have this soup even when you’re not on the diet.

Tip: You can prepare large quantity at a time and simply warm it whenever the hunger pangs hit you.

Recently, a few people have sent their queries to our inbox, asking whether the red cabbage promotes weight loss like the white one. In order to answer that question, first we should know the differences between white cabbage and red cabbage.

Health Benefits of Red Cabbage and White Cabbage

  • The red cabbage has got more Vitamin C when compared with the white one or even Oranges in that case. 1 ounce or 28gms of raw red cabbage give you 27% of the DV (daily value) of ‘C’ vitamin while the white or green cabbage contains only 17% of DV per 1 ounce.
  • Vitaminc C is known for its awesome ability to boost our immunity system, apart from keeping our skin, teeth and bones strong.
  • The red cabbages contain ‘anthocyanins‘ which help protect your body from many degenerative diseases. Unfortunately, this is missing in the white cabbages. As per the study in Feb 2002, scientists found that anthocyanins in red cabbage had anti-cancer effects.
  • You can get more ‘glucosinolates‘ in red cabbages than the white ones. These glucosinolates along with anthocyanins are proven to hinder cancer cell proliferation.
  • The White/green cabbage contains more vitamin K than the red ones. While 1 ounce of red cabbage gives you 13% DV of ‘K’ vitamin, the white ones give you a whooping 27%.

When we compare all the health benefits of white and red cabbages, the red ones are a clear winner. So, it is clear that red cabbages have more benefits over their white counterpart. Now, let us find out whether the red color cabbages are good for weight loss or not?

Does Red Cabbage Promote Weight Loss?

Calories: They contain very less calories; a cup of raw shredded cabbage contains just 22 calories. It has more water, 5.2 gms of carbohydrates and 1 gm of protein. It is no doubt, fat FREE.

Energy: Since the cabbage is a very low calorie food, you can become full by eating large amounts of it without worrying about adding more calories to your body. According to a study, eating red cabbage before the meal will make you eat smaller portion of high caloric foods like meat because you’ll already be full by then.

According to a study published in the ‘European Journal of Clinical Nutrition’ in the year 2007, people who consumed at least 400gms of vegetables & 300gms of fruits per day lost more weight when compared with those who were put into restricted diet. So, eating more red cabbage may help you lose weight.

Final Verdict: As we look at the above facts, it is crystal clear that red cabbages have got more healthy benefits over the white ones. However both the cabbage types can equally contribute to weight loss. So, by replacing the white cabbages in the wonder soup with the red ones, you can lose weight and the same time get the vitamins which are a bit lesser in quantity in the white cabbages.

7-Day Diet Weight Loss Cabbage Soup

“How I lose 10 pounds in 7 days with this cabbage soup diet AKA Military diet!”

Watch me make this cabbage soup from start to finish!

I’m going to Disneyland next week and decided that I didn’t want to take my muffin top with me, especially since I have this cute form-fitting shirt that I want to wear so bad…. WITHOUT SPANX!!

When I need to lose my gut or 10 pounds quickly I turn to 3 diets that never lets me down; my green monster smoothie diet, The 10 Day Green Smoothie Cleanse and my newest love, the 7-day cabbage soup diet!!

Here’s Why I Adore The Cabbage Soup Diet:

  • It works!! It’s not science. Cut your calories, unhealthy sugar, starches, for a period of time while drinking lots of water and you’ll lose weight quickly.
  • It’s quick!! By the morning of my 8th day, the scale is always 7-10 lbs lighter. My clothes fit differently, and my usually bloated gut is flat. I love it.
  • I cheat!! I’ve discovered that I can cheat a bit on this diet. I’ve snuck a muffin in a few times. BEST. MUFFIN.EVER!! I’ve also used some condiments to spice things up.
  • Great for pre-diets! This diet is GREAT for the start of a real diet/eating plan. You know, one where you eat a variety of healthy foods and a decent balance of calories. Sometimes you just need a jumpstart, a cleanse, a boost of confidence on the scale. This diet does it!

Side Note: If you’re interested in trying the green monster smoothie, click here to see how I prep my smoothies!

I know some people HATE these type of quick diets, but I love them! They work well for me and the weight stays off as long as I eat a balanced post-diet. If you jump back to eating bad sugars and carbs right away, you’re going to gain the weight back quickly.

Pace yourself. I mainly use this diet for quick weight loss for an event, the week before Thanksgiving or to jumpstart my spring dieting before swimsuit season.

As always consult a doc before cutting your calories like this!

What is the 7-Day Diet (Cabbage Soup Diet)??

OK so let’s talk about the 7-day cabbage soup diet! It’s an old diet that has been around for YEARS and revised over and over again. You are likely to find several different versions online.

Lately, these 7-day diets have become popular. Even Dr. Oz has one. I first read about it on a blog I stumbled upon and thought I’d give it a try, didn’t expect much though. Now I’m hooked!

I NEVER thought I’d like this cabbage soup, but it’s so good!

How Do You Do The 7 -Day Diet?

On the 7-day diet, you follow a specific eating plan every day. Along with eating these foods, you are allowed to have cabbage soup aka wonder soup aka weight loss soup aka miracle soup aka weight watcher soup (so many names for this soup.) whenever you’d like.

This unlimited soup rule is what drew me to the 7-day cabbage soup diet. I love that I can eat this soup in unlimited quantities. I HATE being hungry, and I will not stick to any diet if I’m hungry. Point. Blank. Period. Don’t forget you MUST drink eight glasses of water each day. My results vary if I slack on water, but 7-10 pounds is what I usually lose.

The Cabbage Soup Recipe ( Wonder Soup)

Now about this weight loss Cabbage Soup (Wonder Soup), most websites featuring this diet says you should boil the vegetables in water, uh…no ma’am!! I’ve always used chicken broth or vegetable broth with seasoned canned tomatoes, and it has never hindered my weight loss.

There is NO WAY I would be eating this soup every day if I made it with water. Yuck! Throughout the diet, I also use salt (very lightly), pepper, lots of herbs & seasonings, olive oil, and a tad of butter on potato day. I also add 0-5 calorie flavorings to my water to make sure I get in all my water if needed. These changes have never affected my results.

My 7-Day Diet Cabbage Soup Diet Journal & Meal Suggestions

(Update: I now add detox tea with a squirt of fresh lemon to my mornings. WOW is all I can say! Try it! I use Total Tea but any detox tea will work)

Day 1- Eat nothing but fruit today (except for bananas) and as much of the diet cabbage soup as you’d like. You should try to stick with fruits with lower sugar content like apples, blueberries, etc. I enjoy eating baked cinnamon apples (using gala or Honeycrisp apples) in the morning, a large fruit salad and cabbage soup for lunch, and cabbage soup and a melon salad for dinner. Get your crunchy fix with dried fruits. Snack on fruit throughout the day. Frozen pineapples and frozen grapes make delicious treats. Also, frozen watermelon blended makes a refreshing, natural slushy. Today wasn’t as bad as I’d expected.

Day 2- Eat nothing but vegetables (except corn or other starchy veggies). However, you do get to start the day with a baked potato (russet or sweet). You will LOVE having this baked potato trust me! I never thought I’d be so happy to eat a baked potato in the morning! I prefer a sweet potato. For breakfast, I dice my sweet potato into cubes, sprinkled with a little olive oil and cinnamon and roast it in the oven along with some bell peppers and onions. For lunch, I do the cabbage soup, and a salad sprinkled with salt, pepper and olive oil. It’s pretty good. For dinner, I do rice cauliflower topped with a stir fry of zucchini, roasted carrots, and bell peppers with light soy sauce (cheating). I snack on baked spinach chips. Today was ok.

Day 3- Today you eat fruits AND veggies (except bananas, corn, and other starchy vegetables) You also don’t get a potato today, sucks! I just do a repeat of day one and two for my foods.

Day 4- Today you eat only bananas and milk/yogurt. This day is the DUMBEST day by far. I hate it. You can just have bananas and milk or unsweetened yogurt. Boooooo, but let’s make the best of it! For breakfast, I do a banana smoothie made with bananas, almond milk, and greek yogurt. For lunch, I eat cabbage soup. For dinner, I do another large banana smoothie and more cabbage soup. I make banana ice cream, by freezing banana slices and then blending them. I also eat some dried banana chips. It’s not that difficult of a day, very dull and if you hate bananas, I feel sorry for you babes.

Day 5- Today eat only tomatoes (6-8) and protein like fish, turkey, and chicken. I had no problems with this day since I love meat and was happy to get it! I made turkey sausage patties for breakfast topped with tomatoes. For lunch, I had grilled chicken topped with tomatoes seasoned with salt, basil, pepper and cabbage soup. For dinner, I had more wonder soup, but I added turkey breakfast sausage to it and more tomatoes. Very filling. I got tired of the soup on this day. Ugh!!

Day 6- Today its protein and veggies- Unlike yesterday you can have other vegetables besides tomatoes. I had turkey sausage and roasted veggies for breakfast. I had a stir-fry with chicken and veggies for lunch, so good. I had spaghetti squash with tomato sauce and ground turkey for dinner. Spaghetti squash is off limits (starchy), but I had to have it! Today was the best! I didn’t have any cabbage soup today. I was feeling over cabbage.

Day 7- Today it’s just fruits, vegetables, and juices. Booo. I hated today. I wanted more meat. Thank God it’s the last day. The scale says I’m 7 pounds lighter this morning, so that was great to see. I feel clean inside. I’m hungry today though, super hungry! For breakfast, I make a huge fruit and veggie smoothie using spinach, apples, oranges, grapes, and water. It was so divine and sweet! Kept me full until it was time for lunch! For lunch, I do a large salad, cabbage soup, and watermelon slushie. For dinner, I do another riced cauliflower stir fry with roasted veggies. I snack on baked cinnamon apples and cantaloupe.

Day 8- 10lbs down this morning and I can see it!! Tummy is nice and flat, and my face looks much slimmer. My husband notices my weight loss too. He’s not happy that my booty looks smaller. Neither am I! My fingers are slimmer, and my wedding ring fits different. Today I paced myself with food and will do so for the next week while on vacation. No sugary foods or bad carbs. I continue with a diet full of fruits, veggies, and lean meats. I incorporate eggs, oatmeal, & whole grain pasta and bread, honey and stevia as a sweetener. My calorie intake is now at it’s recommended level for a healthy weight-loss w/ exercise. I FEEL GREAT!!

SIMPLE 7-DAY GM DIET MEAL PLAN

DAY #1 (MEAL PLAN)

– Have at least 8-12 glasses of water per day

– Watermelon/melons, cantaloupe, lime, oranges, apples, pomegranates & strawberries

– Bananas, grapes, litchi, mangoes & other fruit rich in carbs and potassium (also avoid oils, and fruit juices at all costs)

On day one, also known as adjustment day, you should focus on getting down the basics. Being the first day, you are required to eat only fruits all day long. Any fruit will do except banana or any other fruit that is high in sugar (such as grape, lichi or mango).

You are encouraged to eat watermelon or cantaloupe in plenty for its hydrating effect.

There are no specifications in quantity and frequency of your meals. You can easily eat pure fruits even 20 or more times a day to make you feel full. You need to drink at least half a gallon of water (around 2 liters) a day.

Just remember this day is only fruits day to increase your daily intake of antioxidants and vitamins.

SAMPLE MEAL PLAN

This is just our sample meal plan you can try for yourself. However, you can build one that suits you more. Just follow the rules above.

As the first meal of your day, you can have a bowl (around 14 oz / 400 ml) of sliced apples (usually one or two is enough). Apples are a great source of fiber and vitamins that will help you to start your day right. Don´t forget to drink at least two glasses of water.

MID-MORNING SNACK

If you feel hungry before your lunch, I recommend eating a bowl of raw papaya. Again, do not forget to drink two glasses of water.

For a lunch, you can have a bowl of watermelon with two glasses of water.

MID-AFTERNOON SNACK

As a mid-afternoon snack, I recommend you to eat a bowl of raw papaya with two glasses of water.

For a dinner, you can have a bowl of watermelon with two glasses of water.

EVENING SNACK

I do not recommend to eat after dinner. However, if you have to, then you can have a glass of coconut water rich in potassium.

The aim of the day one is to cleanse your body’s digestive system and boost your metabolism. Thanks to this detox period your weight loss over next six days will be easier.

DAY #2 (MEAL PLAN)

– Have at least 8-12 glasses of water per day

– Large boiled potato (in the morning), lettuce, cabbage, beets, beans, carrot, cucumber, tomatoes, peppers, onion, broccoli & cauliflower

– Potatoes (breakfast in the morning is the only allowed exception)

On the second day of the GM diet, your body is still adjusting to the change of your meal plan. After a day full of fruits you can introduce all sorts of vegetables into your daily food. The second day is also known as a “veggie only” day, and it will be hard.

You do not have to eat all vegetables raw – you can bake, steam or boil them as well. There are no specific limits on amounts of vegetables you need to eat (one exception are potatoes). My advice is to make salads your main meals (do not forget to add seasonings to make raw vegetables taste much better).

If you like spicy and hot meals, don´t forget to add chili to your salads to improve your metabolism. If you are still hungry, try to make a vegetable or tomato soup as the intake of hot watery soup will make you feel full and help you combat food cravings.

You can have potatoes too, but limit them to breakfast. Remember to stay hydrated and drink about 8 – 12 glasses of water throughout the day.

SAMPLE MEAL PLAN

This is just our sample meal plan you can try for yourself. However, you can build one that suits you more. Just follow the rules above.

For the second day, you should eat a bowl of boiled potatoes or sweet potatoes. Do not forget to use seasonings and add fresh parsley for a better flavor. Drink at least two glasses of water.

MID-MORNING SNACK

If you feel like snacking, try having a bowl of raw red lettuce or cabbage with a vinegar. You can drink two glasses of water.

Have a bowl of vegetable salad (do not use oil). It can include Roma tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, and beets (boiled or baked without any oil). You can drink two glasses of water.

MID-AFTERNOON SNACK

If you feel like you need something to eat after your lunch, try having a cup (8oz / 240ml) of cherry tomatoes with two glasses of water.

Eat a cup of steamed asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots for a dinner on day two. Drink two glasses of water.

EVENING SNACK

Again, you can have a cup of cherry tomatoes with two glasses of water.

The aim of day two is to increase your fiber intake that will help you to regulate the sugar content from all the fruit eaten on day one.

– Have at least 8-12 glasses of water per day

– Watermelon/melons, cantaloupe, lime, oranges, apples, pomegranates, strawberries, lettuce, cabbage, beets, beans, carrot, cucumber, tomatoes, peppers, onion, broccoli & cauliflower

– Potatoes, bananas, grapes, litchi, mangoes & other fruit rich in carbs and potassium

On the third day of the vegetarian version of GM diet, you will be combining both day #1 as well as day #2. This way you can have all those sweet fruits and filling vegetables all day long.

Just keep in mind that you have to avoid potatoes, bananas, grapes, litchi, mangoes and other fruit rich in carbs and potassium.

Again, the quantity is not defined and you do not have to eat all vegetables raw – you can bake, steam or boil them as well. Also, don´t forget to add seasonings to make raw vegetables taste much better and chili to your salads to improve your metabolism.

If you are fighting food cravings, try to make a vegetable or tomato soup as the intake of hot watery soup will make you feel full and help you combat food cravings. Do not forget to drink a lot of water as well.

For your breakfast on the day three, try a cup of diced apple or melon. Drink at least two glasses of water.

MID-MORNING SNACK

If you need that mid-morning snack, go for a bowl with a raw cantaloupe and papaya mixture. Again, drink at least two glasses of water.

For lunch, you can have a big salad that includes romaine lettuce, tomatoes (cherry or regular size), cucumber, peppers, and beets (you can add vinegar). Drink two glasses of water.

MID-AFTERNOON SNACK

In the afternoon, you can have a mango or orange to fight your food cravings. Do not forget to pair it together with two glasses of water.

For a dinner, try having a salad with various leafy greens, steamed broccoli, and raw papaya. Again, do not forget to drink two glasses of water.

EVENING SNACK

If you really need to have something even after your dinner, try having a glass of coconut water. It will curb your appetite.

At the end of this day, you should start to notice some weight loss. I recommend eating a wide variety of fruits and veggies to consume the widest spectrum of vitamins and minerals.

DAY #4 (MEAL PLAN)

– Have at least 8-12 glasses of water per day

– Bananas (up to 8-10), milk (4 glasses) & GM special vegetable soup (1-2 bowls)

Finally, on the day four, you are allowed to eat that forbidden fruit – the banana. Actually, you can have up to 6 large ones or 8 medium sized. You will combine it with four glasses of milk distributed throughout your day.

All those bananas and milk are ideal for replenishing crucial minerals (such as calcium or potassium) and energy levels.

To make combating food cravings easier for you, you are allowed to have a bowl of GM vegetable soup (ideally for lunch). If you feel like you can not make it without food, you can have one even for a dinner.

Also, do not forget to drink a lot (8-12 glasses) of water. It is crucial for this diet to work to always keep yourself well hydrated.

SAMPLE MEAL PLAN

For a breakfast, you can have one glass of milk with one medium-sized banana. Drink at least two glasses of water.

If you feel like snacking before your lunch, try having one glass of milk and two bananas. Again, drink at least 2 glasses of water.

For your lunch, try eating a bowl of “special soup” (simple recipe is at the end of this article) and drink at least 2 glasses of water with it. This should make you feel full for some time.

MID-AFTERNOON SNACK

If you need a snack after your lunch, try drinking a glass of milk with mixed banana (you can make a shake) and drink a glass of water.

For your dinner, you can eat a bowl of “special soup” and one banana. To keep you well hydrated, you should drink two glasses of water.

EVENING SNACK

I do not recommend to eat after dinner. However, if you have to, then you can have a glass of coconut water rich in potassium.

This day you are focusing on bananas because this way you will replenish sodium and potassium you were not getting during first three days.

DAY #5 (MEAL PLAN)

– Have at least 8-12 glasses of water per day

– Tomatoes (6), sprouts, cucumber, GM vegetable soup, lean meat (chicken breast, pork loin, beef tenderloin or fish)

The day five is finally a protein day. The GM diet calls for beef on this day. Luckily, you can choose other sources of lean meat as well:

My recommendation for breakfast is a meal that is rich in fiber (preferably boiled legumes). For a lunch, you could have a cup of vegetables of your choice with a portion of meat. For a dinner, you can have the special GM soup with a vegetable salad.

Your daily menu will also include six whole tomatoes that will provide your body with antioxidants and fiber. Additionally, you can eat sprouts as well as cucumbers. Both are low calorie and rich in water and minerals.

Protein-based meals may lead to increased levels of uric acid within your body. That is why you need to increase your water intake on day five.

SAMPLE MEAL PLAN

This is just our sample meal plan you can try for yourself. However, you can build one that suits you more. Just follow the rules above.

For your breakfast, you can have braised beef with two sliced tomatoes. Do not forget to use basic seasonings like black pepper, lemon zest, fresh parsley/coriander, or pink Himalayan salt. Drink three glasses of water.

MID-MORNING SNACK

For a mid-morning snack, you can eat a turkey patty with a tomato for a good source of protein. Drink three glasses of water.

For a lunch, you can prepare a hamburger patty (do not forget use seasonings) together with a sliced tomato. Drink three glasses of water.

MID-AFTERNOON SNACK

If you need a snack after your lunch, you can have a turkey patty (with seasonings) and a tomato. Do not forget to drink two glasses of water.

For a dinner, you can have a hamburger patty with two fresh tomatoes. Again, drink two glasses of water.

EVENING SNACK

As a bedtime snack, I prefer a glass of coconut water to fight food cravings.

During this day, you need to eliminate as much of the fruits and glucose as possible before you finish this diet. You can enjoy meat as well. Just keep in mind that you need to flush out the uric acid your body will produce from digesting all that meat by drinking even more water.

DAY #6 (MEAL PLAN)

– Have at least 8-12 glasses of water per day

– Apples, sprouts, cucumber, GM vegetable soup, lean meat (chicken breast, pork loin, beef tenderloin or fish)

– Tomatoes, anything else

You are almost done now! The day six is very similar to the day five. You are focusing on protein-rich food. However, you need to avoid eating tomatoes.

Your meals will be based on lean meat. You can choose from the following:

My recommendation for breakfast is a meal that is rich in fiber (preferably boiled legumes). For a lunch, you could have a cup of vegetables of your choice with a portion of meat. For a dinner, you can have the special GM soup (just do not use tomatoes this time) with a vegetable salad.

Protein-based meals may lead to increased levels of uric acid within your body. That is why you need to increase your water intake on day six as well.

SAMPLE MEAL PLAN

This is just our sample meal plan you can try for yourself. However, you can build one that suits you more. Just follow the rules above.

The first meal on day 6 should be a bowl of “special soup” with lean beef strips. Drink two glasses of water.

MID-MORNING SNACK

As a snack, you can have a salad made of green leafy vegetables with cooked lean beef and chicken strips on the top. Use seasonings for better taste. Drink at least 2 glasses of water.

For a lunch, you can have cooked beef with a lot of vegetables. The choice is up to you but avoid bread and potatoes. Do not forget to drink three glasses of water.

MID-AFTERNOON SNACK

Again, as a snack, you should eat a salad from green leafy vegetables with cooked lean beef and chicken strips on the top. Drink two glasses of water.

As the last meal on Day 6, you can have a beef patty (with seasonings) or chicken breast together with a bowl of “special soup“. Do not forget to drink two glasses of water.

EVENING SNACK

As a bedtime snack, I prefer a glass of coconut water to fight food cravings.

During this day, you need to eliminate as much of the fruits and glucose as possible before you hit the “homestretch”. You can enjoy meat as well!

DAY #7 (MEAL PLAN)

– Have at least 8-12 glasses of water per day

– Brown rice, watermelon, strawberries, cabbage, broccoli, fruit juice (orange or pineapple) & legumes

Finally, the last seventh day of the vegetarian version of GM diet has come. Because you have made it this far, you will be rewarded. A lot of people call this day a feast day.

Although you want to avoid sugar at all costs, you are allowed to substitute sweet things with a freshly squeezed fruit juice (without any added preservatives or sugar). Not only that, you will be able to eat a lot of rice, vegetables as well as melons.

Remember to drink your recommended two liters of water (and more) for the day too.

After the seven days, you should be at least 5lbs lighter. A lot of people who follow the diet strictly lose up to 17lbs in only seven days.

SAMPLE MEAL PLAN

This is just our sample meal plan you can try for yourself. However, you can build one that suits you more. Just follow the rules above.

The first meal on your last day of this diet should consist of a cup of brown rice or oatmeal together with the melon. Do not forget to drink two glasses of water.

MID-MORNING SNACK

If you need a snack before your lunch, you can have a bowl of sliced strawberries. Drink two glasses of water.

For a lunch, you can have a big salad made from vegetables of your choice mixed with raw mango. Drink two glasses of water.

MID-AFTERNOON SNACK

If you crave for some snack before dinner, you can have a bowl of blueberries and raspberries. Drink two glasses of water.

For dinner eat a bowl of brown rice with a lot of vegetables of your choice. Again, you need to drink two glasses of water.

EVENING SNACK

For a bedtime snack, I prefer a bowl of strawberries. Just avoid anything else.

At this day, you will be pushing out that extra fat from your body. If you want to, you can continue with this nutritional plan to enjoy even better results.

INDIAN & VEGETARIAN VERSION OF GM DIET

Surprisingly, there is an easy vegan and Indian alternative to the GM diet. If you would like to move forward with this diet without adding any meat to the program whatsoever, then feel free to do so.

All you need to do is to follow these simple rules:

  • Do not make a change on days that do not require meat (days #1-4 & #7)
  • Make sure that you increase your daily caloric intake on days that include meat (days #5 & #6)
  • You can substitute meat for Indian cheese, cottage cheese, soybeans/soya chunks, brown rice or legumes
  • Try to keep the same amount of protein as in the meat portion of regular GM diet

Just keep in mind that if you do not keep the same amount of protein as well as increase the number of calories eaten on “meat” days as if you fail to do so you may notice a major drop in energy and a slowdown in weight loss process.

There is a detailed video that includes a sample meal plan below. We have written even our own detailed guide to the Indian/vegetarian version of GM diet.
